Who we are
We’re Thomas and Keeley Cassidy, proud owners of Akac Toyz, a family-owned business nestled in the heart of Cavan, Ireland. As parents of four wonderful children, we understand the importance of providing quality products and exceptional service – after all, we expect nothing less for our own family.
About our family
Life in the Cassidy household is a whirlwind of school runs, scout meetings, and football matches. Thomas is always on the go, with several projects alongside managing our business, while Keeley is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone, ensuring that every customer inquiry is handled with care and efficiency.
Our number one priority? Ensuring that every customer receives the best possible experience. Just as we prioritize the enrichment and happiness of our own children, we’re committed to offering toys that spark joy and adventure in the lives of young ones everywhere.
Our children’s hobbies reflect their diverse personalities – from Adam’s love of gaming to Katelyn’s passion for football, Alex’s fascination with farming, and Chloe’s affinity for outdoor adventures. As a family, we cherish moments spent together, whether it’s a day at the beach or a leisurely stroll through our local countryside.
The Akac Toyz journey
Our journey to Akac Toyz began when we witnessed the sheer delight that a simple toy brought to our son, Alex. Seeing his joy inspired us to share that same sense of wonder with other families. With Keeley’s background in healthcare and Thomas’s knack for all things mechanical, we knew we had the perfect combination of skills to make our dream a reality.
Community
Community has always been at the heart of who we are – we met in our local town, went to school locally and are delighted to have been asked to support several local fundraisers over the years by donating prizes. We’re proud to have deep roots in our local area and cherish the time spent with our (rather large!) extended family. For us, there’s nothing more fulfilling than connecting with others and making a positive impact in our community.
